Lila Downs to premiere new video for 'Zapata Se Queda'

“Zapata se queda” written by Lila Downs and Paul Cohen is the most recent single from the album "Pecados y Milagros". They invited Celso Piña and Totó La Momposina to fuel with art and style this song, creating an interesting blend of sounds.

This video has been filmed under the direction of one of the most prestigious directors, Gustavo Garzón (Shakira, Camila, Chayanne), at Tlayacapan, Morelos, magic town where streets were the main scenario to recreate a procession.

Lila invited her fans to take part of the cast and join to professional actors such as Joaquín Cosío, Roberto Sosa and Rubén Zamora to bring to live characters. These fans came from different regions of the country and traveled to Morelos, birthplace of Emiliano Zapata, hero from the Mexican Revolution. This video will be premiered at the end of the month.

During the last months Lila Downs has been touring Mexico and around the world. She closed 2011 with shows at the Carnegie Hall (Nueva York) and the Auditorio Nacional (México). She continued performing at the US and more recently took her 'Pecados y Milagros' tour to Spain. June will see her traveling to Argentina, Chile and Colombia, among other latinoamerican countries to perform live.
